Sharing a personal attribute publicly

It is the first time that I am giving a personal touch to my post, hope you will like it.  Please, leave your feedback! Xx

If you'd see around instagram, you will literally find every other instagrammer/blogger being a makeup junkie and the fact that I am not at all a makeup junkie, makes me different, I guess.

Shoking? I girl is saying it! 🙊

You would be surprised to know that I went to parties, farwells, get-togethers and weddings with zero makeup (except a lip gloss and kajal, maybe, lol) till my college life.

Haha, probably I believed this saying^

So, it comes as a surprise to me when I see girls of 12 and 13 age not only in full makeup but they are expert at it.

I think, if I am dumb or they are too smart!

I don't say it is wrong because everyone has their choice of living and if someone loves makeup than it is not a bad option.

Bro, I am liberal! 😂

Since, I started putting on makeup so late, I still don't know about baking and many other terminologies related to it.

Even now, I am not a kind of person who goes to university in makeup daily. I use it in parties and weddings ONLY.

Sometimes, I do want to use makeup on daily basis because I feel like I have grown up but then I get lazy and tell myself to back off.

But you know what, people around you influence a lot. Since, my friends also don't come in makeup usually so I guess I also don't use it. But, since I joined instagram as an influencer I saw alot of makeup junkies around me and it has helped me a bit.

And this is the reason I started using some of the products recently that I never used.

This FairnLovely BB Cream is one of them.

Now, you'd say that it has been in market since long and I am using, but here comes the reason; I am not a MAKE UP JUNKIE.

I don't really know if this BB Cream works or not, but I do use when I am going to any wedding (that is not more than twice a year) or a party (which is also once a year).

So, you can imagine! I don't know if it's simplicity, laziness or tom boy-ish-ness.

I would ask you to decide a word for my story that I just shared. 🙊

BYE. 🏃

It already got so long, sorry!

Travel diaries- A nostalgic trip to my village

hi readers!
I am back with yet another blog. I hope all of you are doing well in your lives. I have been to many places which I want to tell you guys about. I have shared few travel blog posts before as well. Today, I thought why not talk about my roots and by roots I mean the place where I belong to.
So last month I went to my village with my family and it was a fun trip like always. I went there after two years which is quite surprising because when we were kids, we used to spend entire 3 months of summer vacations there though we used to get bored because there was no internet or cable on TV . But now I miss going there often :(.
Breath-taking view near our ancestral home
On the traveling day (BTW it was a damn hot day of July), we filled our backpacks with chocolates, chips, cold water bottles and not to forget chewing gums (It is necessary for me specially when I am travelling to the mountains because I have issue of travel sickness). I was excited as a child that day.
This is a view from our ancestral home. I have heard this spot was a mini water fall hundreds of years ago
My village (Nanyah) is somewhere near Kotli Sattian. You can say it is some what near Murree. It is a refreshing place with breathtaking recreational beauty. On my way to village we pass by Nilore Atomic Factory and then by Simli Dam.
A view of our ancestral home after rain
This place has become a picnic spot for the tourists as you guys are aware that Murree is overly crowded in summers. It has various hiking points and few rest houses for the tourists.
Magnificent door of a room (Just look at the wall and door)
View in the rain
We stay there in our ancestral house which is about 100 years old and let me tell you it is a great piece of architecture. You will get to see all of it in the pictures. Walls of the house are made of hand designed pathar (stones) and roofs are made of wood and covered with metallic sheets just like the hotels and rest houses in Murree.
Hiking track (This is what I call it) and grazing land for cows and goats
I remember going for hiking with my cousins in summers. There is no proper track for hiking but still it is a great spot for hiking and trekking.
Ten years old lily plant

Minced Peri Bites with Mayo

Who loves Peri Bites? What! You don't? Then, you haven't tried minced peri bites yet. Follow my my costumized recipe and try them right now because I guarantee, you won't regret!

Isn't this picture tempting?

Let's start with the ingredients:

½ kg mince (keema)
2 teaspoon chilli garlic sauce
1-2 tablespoon milk
2 tablespoon grated cheese (cheddar or mozzarella or one tbsp each)
10-12 green chilies (approximately 3 inches in length)
2 eggs
2 tablespoon flour
2-4 tablespoon cornflour
1 pinch of salt
1 pinch of pepper
1 cup bread crumbs (for coating)

And that's hit! Try this simple method now. Calling it simple, because it only involved frying and mixing! Watch out:

Put cooking oil in a frying pan, add the mince and the chilli garlic sauce, and cook until the mince is tender (approximately 80% cooked). Add pepper salt and vinegar.
Using a knife, carefully make a cut perpendicular to the base of the chilies, 1 to 1.5 cm in length; remove the seeds with caution without tearing the chili surface
Insert one little amount of mince into each chili followed by a small quantity of the cheese using your hands.
Keep these chilies in the freezer for 1 hour
Now mix the egg white in a separate bowl and pour it on top of the chilies; also mix in the flour cornflour, salt and pepper into the mix and coat all the chilies evenly
Roll each chili in bread crumbs, followed by a dip in the milk and back into the bread crumbs for a nice, thick coat
Once all chilies are done, put them in the freezer for another 15 minutes so that the coating can settle properly
Deep fry in very hot oil until they have a nice golden coat

Tad'da! Go try them and let me know how did they turn out.

Serve immediately with tomato ketchup or mayo sauce.

Book review-Like the flowing river

Whenever I am free, I love to read books. I love reading books since I was a child. I read books regardless of their genre and author. Today, I will review my latest read that is "The Flowing River". The author of this novel is Paulo Coelho and he needs no introduction. One of my favorite novel "The Alchemist" is written by Paulo Coelho. He writes about smallest and simplest things in a beautiful manner that is mesmerizing for the readers.

Some chapters of this novel "The Flowing River" are very short, merely a few paragraphs. When you are done reading those chapters, you may feel empty – as if a story is suddenly cut short half-way through. Yet as you let the minimal words sink in, you realise you were meant to fill in the empty spaces yourself – with your own thoughts, your own reflections, meanings and dreams.
Every story in this book has a meaning. If it is openly shown, then you will enjoy the read and take away the meaning easily. If it’s hidden, then you will enjoy the search to find it and take it away. They’re not complex  meanings, but mostly simple ones that we can try. They might not seem realistic, but they’ll give you a sense of belief. They are beautiful because of that.

Coffee cake topped with wafers and smarties

Hello everyone!
I hope all of you are doing well in whatever you are doing. I took a short break from writing. I was busy with my work. Today, I will be sharing the recipe of my favorite ‘Coffee cake topped with wafers and smarties’. It is quite easy to bake but definitely the yummiest one.

Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
2 cups of plain flour
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup oil
1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
6-7 teaspoons coffee
3 teaspoons coco powder
½ cup smarties
Wafer biscuits
1 packet cream
Procedure:
First of all you need to preheat the oven at 180o C. Grease the pan with oil so that the batter doesn’t stick to the pan. Whisk the eggs well in a bowl with the electric blender so that they become foamy. Add 1 cup sugar in eggs and blend them together. Now add oil and blend the three ingredients together. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, coco powder and 2-3 teaspoon coffee. Add egg mixture in it and mix well. Pour the batter in the greased pan and pop it in the oven. Bake it for half an hour. After half an hour check if the cake is baked by inserting a match stick in it. If the match stick comes out clean, cake is ready but if it does not come out clean bake it for another 5 minutes. Your cake is ready. Take it out of the pan and let it cool down.
Now for the topping, whisk cream, add grounded sugar and coffee in it and whisk it to make it foamy. Pour this mixture on the cake and garnish with wafers and colorful smarties. Your scrumptious coffee cake is ready. Serve it with coffee or tea. It also tastes yummy with vanilla ice-cream.

Food Corner- Cupcakes

Hello lovelies!
Today, I’ll be sharing recipe of cupcakes. Without wasting any time, let’s get started.
Ingredients:
2 cups of plain flour
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 cup oil
1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
Food color (orange, green, yellow)

Procedure:
Before stating, you all need to preheat your oven at 180o C. Place the paper cups in cupcake tray. Whisk the eggs well in a bowl with the electric blender so that they become foamy. Add sugar in eggs and blend them together. Now add oil and blend the three ingredients together. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda. Add egg mixture in it and mix well. Now separate the batter in 3 separate bowls. I used 3 different food colors so I used 3 bowls. You can use as much colors you like. That’s totally up to you. Take a pinch of 3 different food colors, mix them separately with one teaspoon of milk each and then pour them in their respective bowls having batter.
Now, pour the batter in the cupcake tray and pop it in the oven. Bake it for 20-25 minutes. After 20-25 minutes, check if the cupcakes are baked by inserting a match stick in it. If the match stick comes out clean, cake is ready but if it does not come out clean bake it for another 5 minutes. When cupcakes are done, take them out of the tray and let them cool down. I like them plain. But you can serve them with vanilla or chocolate toppings. Do give this recipe a try and enjoy your cupcakes with hot coffee or tea.

Beauty-Vaseline products

Hello readers!

I am writing after quite a long time and I am sorry about this. i will try to be regular from onward.
This blog post is about Vaseline. I have been using Vaseline White and Vaseline Petroleum Jelly throughout my life.
Vaseline White is a good moisturizing lotion. It works on the dark areas and whitens the skin. It is enriched with micro droplets of Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. It helps to heal dry skin and its plus point is that it makes it fairer. It contains vitamin B3 which helps to make skin look fairer by inhabiting melanin transfer and production. It is fast absorbing and non-greasy. It is highly recommended for uneven, dry and dull skin.
Vaseline petroleum jelly has always been my favourite. It is the best moisturizer for lips and I think it defeats all lip balms. It works magically for chapped and dry lips. I always keep it in my bag.
Apart from healing your lips, it works best for dry skin as well. It helps you get softer feet, smooth skin and it effectively works against wrinkles. And the best thing about Vaseline Petroleum Jelly is it actually helps you get longer eyelashes. Have you ever faced the issue of splint ends?... Apply Vaseline Petroleum Jelly on your hair to get rid of split ends. In short, it can do wonders.

I would definitely recommend these Vaseline products.

Chicken Barbecue

Hello lovely readers!

I am back with yet another blog. I’ll be sharing recipe of Barbecue chicken. My father loves chicken so almost every week we have Barbecue night at our home. It is usually a very fun night. Barbecue chicken is quite easy to make but it requires a lot of spices and flavors. Below is the full recipe of the Barbecue.

Ingredients:
1 cup yogurt
1 tablespoon butter
2 teaspoons fresh ground cumin
1 jalapeno pepper, finely chopped
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
2 boneless chicken cut them into cubes
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoons soya sauce

Preparation:
In a small bowl, whisk all the ingredients together. Add this paste on the chicken. Cover, and marinate in the refrigerator at least 1 hour. I marinated my chicken overnight so that after being cooked, it is soft and gooey. Preheat the coal for medium-high heat. Thread chicken onto skewers, and discard marinade. Brush chicken with oil. Cook it for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the chicken juices run clear. When Barbecue is ready, serve it with chili garlic sauce and naan.

I hope you like the recipe.

DIY project- 3-D Bookmarks

Hello everybody!

How are you all? I hope all of you are doing great.
This is the second time I am writing about my DIY project. I already had told you guys that I loved arts since my childhood. I always wanted to be an artist but by some luck got into science. To keep my passion alive for arts, I keep on trying different art related stuff, whenever I get free time. DIY projects are a ‘thing’ these days. My recent DIY project was of making 3D bookmarks. I love reading books. I never buy books marks from my childhood. I make them myself. This time I made 3D bookmarks and it was quite fun activity. I made Sponge bob themed book marks.
These are very affordable bookmarks. You can use all the things from your home. This project was not very time consuming at all. Things required to make these bookmarks were:
·       Chart papers of different colors
·       Glazed papers
·       Scissors
·       Water colors of different colors
·       Poster paints of different colors

I made four bookmarks of Sponge Bob, Patric Star, Plankton and Sandy Cheeks. I draw their pictures on the chart papers, then colored them with water colors and poster paints. Different body parts were pasted like cut out to give them 3D effect.
This is how I made 3D bookmarks. It was very easy and interesting project and I loved the outcome. Do give it a try.

Recipe- Chicken Bread

Hello lovelies!

Today I will be sharing a quick chicken bread recipe. It is quick and super easy. I tried it 3-4 times and believe me it turned out delicious. The dough was perfectly made and it was soft. Chicken filling was spicy. The filling inside the chicken bread is totally up to you. Many people like to add their own special touch by adding extra spices. Every time I tried it, it turned out to be amazingly delicious.

INGREDIENTS
Dough:
 ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
2 cups whole milk (warm to the touch)
4 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 pack active dry yeast
5 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2-3 teaspoons salt
Filling ingredients:
1 cup boiled chicken
1 small onion (chopped)
Salt as required
1 teaspoon black pepper powder
2 green chilies (chopped)
2 table spoon capsicum
2 tablespoon butter
Mozzarella and cheddar cheese
Sesame as required
1 egg
PREPARATION
1. Generously grease the oven tray.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together warm milk, melted butter, and granulated sugar. The mixture should be just warm. If it is hotter, allow to cool slightly.
3. Sprinkle the yeast evenly over the warm mixture and let set for 1 minute.
5. Add 4 cups of flour to the milk mixture and mix with a wooden spoon until just combined.
6. Cover the bowl with a towel or plastic wrap and set in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.
7. Preheat oven to 180˚C
8. After 1 hour, the dough should have nearly doubled in size. Remove the towel and add an additional ¾ cup of flour, the baking powder, and salt. Stir well, then turn out onto a well-floured surface.
9. Knead the dough lightly, adding additional flour as necessary, until the dough just loses its stickiness and does not stick to the surface.
10. Once the dough is done, start preparing filling. Saute chopped onion, boiled chicken, capsicum and green chilies in butter, for few minutes. Add salt, black pepper and other species (if you want).
11. Roll out dough, place the filling and make it into a chicken braid. Wash it with egg and sprinkle sesame.
12. Bake it at 180 degree in a pre-heated oven for 15 - 20 minutes until golden.

Product review- Matcha tea

Hello readers!

I am back after a short break or may be a long one ;). I was busy with my studies and stuff. One of my resolutions of 2018 is to be more active on the blog. Today I will be reviewing Matcha tea.
Match tea is quite different from our ordinary green tea that we consume in Pakistan. Its leaves have different texture. Unlike ordinary tea, leaves come in fine powdered form. When it comes to preparing meals and beverages for your family, one thing should always be a priority i.e. healthy nutrition. Matcha tea has certain health benefits. Having a single cup of Matcha tea in morning will help you to run throughout the day with enthusiasm. Whenever you are feeling low or you are in a bad mood, have a cup of Matcha tea, it will definitely brighten your day. Matcha tea is quite famous these days and a lot of people have made it a part of their daily life.

The best way to describe Matcha tea powder would be to say it’s a great antioxidant and a natural weight loss help, a mood-enhancer and as I found out when I started drinking it, a healthy sugar-free alternative to tea and coffee, as it is a source of much needed energy by the body, without the jitters.
Matcha tea also helps you to lose excess body fats. Make Matcha tea an integral part of your weight loss plan. It is beneficial to have Matcha tea between meals. Sipping Matcha tea with or between your snacks may help keep a check on your appetite while you follow a reduced calorie diet. Sipping Matcha tea will help you fell full hence resulting in less consumption of food. You can also have a cup of Matcha tea 30 minutes before your daily work out session. This will boost your fat burning capacity.

If you want to prepare Matcha tea in the full traditional Japanese style, all you need to do is just add a cup of water to it – it’s pretty straightforward. When it is stirred with water, it turns into this intense, full-flavored green tea.  Of course, not everyone is not fan of rich green tea flavor. I get it. There are some alternative ways of making Matcha tea a part of your daily diet.  You can add it to your cooking and drink-making recipes. It works exceptionally well: when it’s added as an ingredient, Matcha’s taste becomes more subtle.

I found this product quite good and I would like to make it a part of my daily diet in future as well.

My nail paint obsession

Hello readers!
How are you all? I hope you guys are doing pretty well. I am back with my yet another blog. I hope this blog will interest all the ladies and girls out there.
When it comes to makeup, I like to keep it quite simple. Just a good shade lipstick and eye liner usually save my day. But I am pretty much obsessed with nail paints. I love applying nail paints. I usually go for the darker shades because I find them cooler that the lighter shades. I have tried almost all the nail paint brands. My experience with all of them was not bad either.
The essie winter 2017 Collection features six new shades with various finishes. It’s a nice collection overall, and each one only required two coats to fully cover. I had not a single issue with any of them and all of them blew my mind!

I love Medora nail paints. They come in variety of colors and a good thing about them that I appreciate a lot is that they don’t chip off after sometime.
I love Luscious products as well. Their nail polishes with diamond finish lacquers are gorgeous, available and affordable at Rs 225 each. And they come in natural, loud and edgy as yellow colors.

Keeping your lips bold and beautiful in winters

Hello readers!

How are you all? I hope you guys are doing pretty well. I am so sorry, I got so busy with studies and family commitments from the past month. I was not at all active on the blog which I totally regret and feel sad about. Now, I am back and I will be updating my blog on regular basis. J
At present, we are experiencing change of weather in Islamabad, Pakistan. Winters have arrived with the bang. I am totally loving the change in wardrobe for winters. In winters, we need to take extra care of our health and skin as change in weather can adversely affect both our health and skin. Usually we takes measures for the protection of our skin but we totally ignore our lips and hair. Today, I will be talking about lips protection and hopefully I will share a blog on healthy hair routine, soon.
Chapped and dried lips don’t look good at all. They dull the charm of your pretty face. You look dull. People might think you are dehydrated or sick. To avoid these circumstances, you need to pay attention to your lips. Licking your lips also causes dryness as saliva takes away the moisture. Lip balms, lipsticks, oils and chap sticks can help you prevent your lips. Coconut and almond oils are pretty good moisturizers. They also help to keep your lips soft. I use lip gel from Olay, it is papaya flavored and keeps my lips moisturized. It has such sweet smell. Instead of applying lipsticks on daily basis to university, I prefer chap stick. I use Paris Vogue pink colored chap stick. It’s a remedy for my dry lips. Along will that it fulfills my needs of applying lip stick on daily basis. It keeps my lips pink and glowing.

Ideally, when you are choosing anything to apply on your lips, opt for the ones that are free of flavor and fragrance, and avoid anything that stings or tingles after application.

Tour of my kitchen garden

Hello readers!
Today I will take you to a quick tour to my very own kitchen garden. A own kitchen garden gives you organic vegetables and fruits and you guys know that organic products are healthier than the products artificially prepared by the addition of chemical fertilizers. Organic gardening, has become increasingly popular for the modern home gardener. Specifically in Australia, USA, Canada and Germany, kitchen gardening and organic farming has gained immense popularity. Great amount of energy is used in agriculture sector, since many farm chemicals require energy intensive manufacturing processes that rely heavily on fossil fuels. Organic farmers find their method of farming to be profitable and personally rewarding. They depend on natural methods.
Growing organic products by the use of natural fertilizers and composts is not only important for healthier eating lifestyle, it also has great environmental benefits. Animals, vegetables and fruits are being grown or raised organically throughout the world.
Fig

My mom is a lover of gardening. My father also loves gardening. I have the love of gardening in my genes. Two years back, when we moved to this house, my mom fixed a spot in the backyard for kitchen garden. It is not a very small space. The soil of the backyard was ploughed before growing plants. Instead of chemical fertilizers, animal manure was added to make the soil fertile. My mother usually gets seeds and small plants from the local nursery at reasonable prices.
Mint

We mostly grow vegetables but also some fruits are grown there. And we use organic fertilizers instead of chemical fertilizers.
Kaddu (Pumpkin)

We grow plants twice a year i.e. in summer and winter.
Tomatoes

Coriander
Bitter gourd flowers (Bitter gourd is commonly known as karela)
We grow green chilies, mint of two types, coriander, black pepper, karela or bitter gourd, kaddu or pumpkin, radish, carrots, lettuce, lemons, tomatoes, lauki or bottle gourd, lady finger and corn.
Lauki (Bottle gourd)

Green chillies

Excitement for the parcel

Hello Readers!
How are you all doing? I hope everyone is doing well in their lives. I am also doing well. I was a bit busy with work and stuff at home lately so I haven’t written a blog post for quite long time. And I have not replied to your comments on the blog posts. I am sorry for that. As soon as I got free, I decided to interact with you guys.
Today, I will be sharing a product review. I got this parcel from JUNKIES with a sweet note. It was not so heavy and was nicely packed. It had a beautiful spiral notebook in it and 3 pretty badges. Spiral notebook and all three badges were packed in separate packings.
I like the cover of the notebook. The note book’s cover is of Wanderlust theme which is eye catching. Wanderlust is written on the cover. It has a camera, Eiffel tower and a huge map printed on it. Cover is of brown color. Its size is 6 × 8 inches. It is small in size than the common spiral notebook. Notebook had smooth lined pages.

Parcel contained one large badge and two small badges. ‘Free spirit’, ‘Dream’ and ‘Grateful’ is written on the pretty colorful badges. I love what is written on them. These trendy badges can be worn on the hand bags and you can also wear them on jackets which is a trend these days.

Overall I liked the gifts by Junkies.
